O’Dwyer Technical Services, LLC provides electrical safety and technical training in addition to consulting services. Our mission is to assist clients who wish to manage the risk posed to qualified and unqualified electrical workers as well as ensuring system reliability of critical systems.
With over 50 years in the electrical power industry, our staff has extensive background in conventional power as well as nuclear power. Our extensive understanding of applicable standards related to safety and governmental compliance allows us to ensure our clients meet or exceed required compliance standards.
Joseph has 30 years of experience in both electrical and mechanical systems and has extensive training in both Power Production and Mechanical Interfacing.
After 8 years in the US Air Force and a graduate of the College of the Air Force with a degree in Electrical Power Systems. Joseph joined Johnson Controls as a Controls System Representative and eventually became a Senior Instructor for Emerson Network Power for 8 years prior to forming O’Dwyer Technical Services.
Areas of specialty include Low and Medium Voltage systems, specializing in Geothermal Power Generation; building automation; manufacturing; data centers and radio and broadcast companies. In addition, Joseph has formal policy development experience and extensive background in classroom instruction in both electrical safety as well technical courses.
Kevin Kelly has over 18 years’ experience in low and medium voltage power applications. Kevin is a graduate of the US Naval Nuclear Propulsion Academy and for 11 years managed a nuclear power generation platform. He oversaw the maintenance, repair, and operations of marine power plants for 5 years.
Additionally, Kevin served as a Naval Nuclear Power instructor, teaching students the policies and procedures for the operation of a nuclear power plant as well as receiving his Journeyman Industrial Electricians License.
In 2005 Kevin joined Emerson Network Power as an Instructor in conjunction with consulting in low and medium voltage work centers. He maintained the electrical safety program for multiple clients and provided analysis, updates, and training.
Jason Fong is a graduate from California State University of Sacramento with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration in Finance and Risk Management and Insurance.
Jason’s focus is targeted in identifying the financial risks to large Data Centers, such as non-compliance with existing or non-exist policies, training standards and governmental requirements. In addition, Jason provides clear insight and a cost effective path to resolving these concerns. He is a standing member of Management Information Systems Association (MISA).
